SEVERAL WEEKS BEFORE SALE DAY
____ Obtain boxes
____ Assemble, segregate, and place items in boxes
____ Clean and repair as needed
____ Determine prices, mark clearly, and label items
____ Pre-stage boxes
____ Decide on a date, time, and location
____ Remind and confirm any co-sellers of your sale dates
ONE WEEK BEFORE SALE DAY
____ Clean and prepare sale site
____ Gather bags and packing materials
____ Make signs, banners, 3x5 cards, and flyer's
____ Post 3x5 cards and flyer's
____ Have stapler/staples, hammer/nails and tape ready
____ Place advertisement with local newspaper (run one to two days before sale)
DAY BEFORE SALE DAY
____ Establish change box ($50.00 minimum)
____ Obtain tables (borrow or rent if needed)
____ Clean tables and setup if held in secure area
____ Post signs and banners
____ Ready pen and tablet for recording sales
____ Have co-sellers bring their tagged items over
____ Ready snacks and cold drinks for workers
SALE DAY
____ Set up tables if unable to do prior to sale day
____ Unload pre-staged boxed items onto tables (allow 1-2 hours)
____ Arrange items on tables by categories
____ Greet shoppers
____ Sell, Sell, and Sell!
